From September 7 to 10, 2026, Guangxi Chongzuo Huiyuan Hydropower Co., Ltd. organized and held in Wuhan a design liaison meeting for the governor, oil pressure equipment, and medium-pressure air system equipment of the Zuojiang Power Plant.
The meeting was attended by relevant representatives from Guangxi Chongzuo Huiyuan Hydropower Co., Ltd., China Energy Engineering Group Guangxi Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., Tianjin Tianfa Heavy Hydropower Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd., and Wuhan Sichuang Automatic Control Technology Co., Ltd.
At the design liaison meeting for the Zuojiang Power Plant technical renovation project, consensus was reached on technical issues concerning the governor, oil pressure equipment, and medium-pressure air system. Key details were clarified, including equipment dimensions, power supply, communication interfaces and protocols, regulation guarantee parameters, automation component configuration, and time milestones, providing a technical basis for the subsequent equipment manufacturing and installation.

The Zuojiang Power Plant is located about 20 km from Jiangzhou District, Chongzuo City. It is equipped with three Kaplan turbine-generator units, with a total installed capacity of 3×24 MW, all of which were connected to the grid in 1999. The station has been in operation for about 26 years, and its runner blades are severely eroded. In this renovation, without changing the flow passage and embedded parts, the rated operating oil pressure of the servomotor will be increased from 2.5 MPa to 6.3 MPa, so as to achieve the goal of quality improvement and efficiency enhancement.
The successful convening of this design liaison meeting marks that the technical schemes for the governor, oil pressure equipment, and medium-pressure air system equipment of the Zuojiang Power Plant technical renovation project have been basically finalized, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent equipment manufacturing, installation, and overall advancement of the project. All participating units stated that they will work closely together and coordinate their efforts in strict accordance with the requirements of the meeting minutes to ensure the high-quality completion of the project.
